Directions

By Car: At the intersection of I-79 and I-68, WVU is approximately 70 miles south of Pittsburgh or 200 miles northwest of Washington, DC.

Driving Directions from Pittsburgh via I-79 South:

  1. Take exit 155 off I-79 South and turn left at the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. You will stay on this road for the next few miles.
  2.   At the 4th traffic light, you will see the Coliseum on your right. Go through 2 more   traffic lights and take a left at the 3rd light, onto Campus Drive.
  3.   At the next light, turn right onto University Ave.
  4.   At the second road on the left, turn onto College Ave.
  5.   Make an immediate right into the Upper Level of the MountainLair Parking Garage. This level has metered parking.

Driving Directions from Charleston/Huntington via I-79 North:

  1. Drive to Charleston and then hit I-79 N to Clarksburg/Morgantown.
  2. Take exit 155 off I-79 North and turn bear right as your come off the exit. You will stay on this road for the next few miles.
  3.  At the 4th traffic light, you will see the Coliseum on your right. Go through 2 more traffic lights and take a left at the 3rd light, onto Campus Drive.
  4. At the next light, turn right onto University Ave.
  5.  At the second road on the left, turn onto College Ave.
  6. Make an immediate right into the Upper Level of the MountainLair Parking Garage. This level has metered parking.

Driving Directions from DC/Baltimore via I-79 West:

  1. Take the first exit after crossing Cheat Lake (Pierpont) and take a right at the stop.
  2. Proceed down a big hill to Rt. 119, make a left
  3. Follow 119 through the roundabout and down another hill into downtown Morgantown
  4. At the Panera, continue straight ahead into the downtown campus. Colson Hall will be on your left, and the Mountainlair Garage to your right.

By Air: The closest airports are the Morgantown Airport and the Pittsburgh International Airport. The Grey Line Mountain Line Bus runs a shuttle from the airport to Morgantown twice daily. The same bus also runs twice daily from the downtown Pittsburgh Greyhound terminal to Morgantown.

By Train: The closest Amtrak station is in Connellsville, Pa., located 37.0 miles from Morgantown.
